Blenheim Palace announced the launch of its Bridgerton Film Trail, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the world of the hit Netflix series. The Oxfordshire-based attraction, which first appeared in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story as Buckingham House, featured prominently in Season 3 of the beloved show.
The film trail, which launched in July, guided visitors through the original filming locations at Blenheim Palace, letting them follow in the footsteps of their favourite characters. The route led Bridgerton enthusiasts to the Great Court, which had been adorned with royal guards and opulent carriages during the filming of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Many lavish scenes that viewers witnessed in the prequel series were included in this unique trail. One of the key stops was the Water Terraces, which were transformed into the enchanting outdoor space for the final ball scene in Queen Charlotte.
Visitors also wandered through the exquisite State Rooms of Blenheim Palace, including the Long Library, which appeared twice in episode 7 of the new Bridgerton season. The trail allowed fans to step into the Saloon, a room integral to the plot, where Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury engaged in an intense game of chess as the Queen attempted to uncover Lady Whistledown’s identity.
In the final episode of the season, Blenheim Palace featured again when the two older Featherington sisters were seen strolling around the Water Terraces with their husbands, providing another memorable moment for visitors to enjoy along the trail.
To celebrate the release of the new season and the immersive film trail, Blenheim Palace offered a unique photo opportunity for fans at the end of the experience. Visitors could take selfies surrounded by a stunning archway adorned with wisteria, adding a touch of Regency charm to their visit.
The Bridgerton Film Trail not only attracted dedicated fans of the series but also provided an opportunity for newcomers to appreciate the beauty and history of Blenheim Palace. As the attraction embraced its connection to the popular Netflix series, it highlighted the growing interest in immersive experiences that blend culture, history, and entertainment.
