After Botox, it’s crucial to clean your skin gently. Dr. Ntonos cautions against vigorous scrubbing, which can lead to Botox migration or bruising. “Use a mild cleanser and pat your skin dry with a soft cloth to avoid disrupting the treatment.”
Skip Strenuous Exercise
Heavy exercise post-Botox can elevate heart rate and blood flow, leading to Botox migration or uneven results. “To ensure the best outcomes, avoid strenuous activities for at least 24 hours. Scheduling your treatment on a rest day can help,” advises Dr. Ntonos.
Avoid Tight Headwear
Dr. Ntonos recommends steering clear of tight headwear, such as hats or headbands, for the first 24 hours. “Pressure from headwear can impact the effectiveness of the treatment. Use loose hair clips or ponytails instead to keep hair away from your face,” he says.
