- RGBW system delivers dynamic visual effects
- Launch aligned with Eid Al Etihad festivities
Emaar Properties has announced a transformative lighting upgrade for the Burj Khalifa. Featuring advanced RGBW technology, the new system integrates state-of-the-art innovation with the iconic tower’s architectural beauty. The lighting system will be unveiled on 1 December 2024 during the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad celebrations, leading up to the building’s 15th anniversary on 4 January 2025.
This upgrade offers a stunning palette of vibrant colours and dynamic lighting effects, creating an unforgettable visual experience for visitors while reaffirming Dubai’s global leadership in design and innovation.
The RGBW system underwent six months of testing to ensure seamless integration with the façade. The dynamic, addressable fixtures replace static lights, enabling intricate patterns and scenes that adapt effortlessly to both daily displays and festive occasions. These visuals complement the Burj Khalifa’s media screen while maintaining its sleek and elegant profile.
Mr Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Executive Director of Emaar Properties, remarked: “Burj Khalifa has always stood as a beacon of what is possible when vision meets innovation. This lighting overhaul is a testament to our continuous pursuit of excellence and a tribute to the UAE’s spirit of progress. As we unveil this stunning upgrade during Eid Al Etihad celebrations and approach the tower’s 15th anniversary, this transformation marks a new chapter in its legacy, reaffirming Dubai as a city of boundless ambition.”
This lighting innovation combines advanced technology with artistic creativity, setting a global precedent for architectural excellence.
